A: No, it's a solar kit that's intended to go into a birdbath you already own so that you can instantly turn it into a solar fountain.

Q: Does it charge up and work when cloudy?
A: No, it does not have a battery so it only runs when in direct sun.

Q: How deep does the water need to be?
A: The ideal water depth is 2in (5cm) and the minimum is 1.5in (4cm) for the pump to be submerged.

Q: Does it float?
A: No, but if you want to make it float in a deep fountain or pond you can order a foam disc from our parts dept to put under it that will make it float.
